Each grade has a resource called Assessment: Year At A Glance This is a very important document to help teachers implement the performance based tasks for the 2013-2014 school year. This page will be continuously updated throughout the year. This resource can also be found on AIMS. Instructions on finding the Units of Study in AIMS can be found here.
- The expectation is that teachers will administer
a. Math – One PBT for two thirds of the Units of Study.
b. ELA – Three PBT’s during the year.
- Teachers can choose any of the PBT’s, they don’t have to choose a particular one. Ideally, each grade/subject will choose the same ones for their school.
- After each PBT is completed, send them to Dorothy Muna at City Center 4th Floor East.
These performance tasks are the closest tasks the district has available that reflect the PARCC items that will be assessed on the PARCC Performance Based Assessment 2014-15. We encourage your school to use these tasks because they reflect the rigor of CCSS and what is expected on PARCC.
